Benjamin Plackett is a science journalist and foreign correspondent. He frequently reports from the Arab world and has lived and worked from newsrooms in New York, London and Paris. His work has been published by Scientific American, CNN and Wired.
He especially enjoys covering moral quandaries within the world of research. Not least whether scientists have the right to study the remains of American Indians and the forensic neglect of rape evidence in the U.S.
Since leaving New York in 2015 he splits his time between London and Paris, where he writes as a foreign correspondent for U.S. audiences with the Associated Reporters Abroad network, which has seen him cover Brexit for The Washington Times.
Benjamin holds a B.Sci in biology from Imperial College, London and an M.A. in journalism from New York University.
